Tripoli Horses got started in Tucson, Arizona in 2002. Training horses for other stables since she was just a kid, Emily Kelly decided to start her own business. Tripoli Sales and Training was born and the first official trainer, Emily started with just one horse, Shadow.
By the second year she had so much business, she decided she needed to expand! Emily enlisted the help of her brother Jon Duprey. Jon is our colt man. He can get any horse comfortable and calm under saddle.
Towards the end of the second year Lakota Tichnell joined the team as an apprentice. She grew in experience and her love for training horses and has ended up training with us. Lakota is now Lakota Duprey and we have recently welcomed little Justice Duprey into the family.
Joe Kelly is the newest addition to the team. As Emily’s husband and business partner he is learning the ropes of the trade.
Over the years Emily, Joe, Lakota and Jon have bought, sold and trained too many horses to count. It’s our goal to keep you communicating with your horse!
